i have this song stuck in my head. it's from the 70's or 80's and it has a major jazz/brass part to it and i can only piece together parts of the lyrics

it's a classic rockish song, the singer's voice is male and sort of soft and bland sounding sort of like paul mccartney mixed with eric clapton
